Share the Road Ride
The Share the Road Ride is more than an event—it’s a rallying cry for safer roads for all.
Too many lives are lost or forever changed on Ontario’s roads. These are not just statistics—they are our loved ones, friends, and neighbours. Together, we can imagine and create a future where every journey on two wheels is not just a trip, but a safe passage for all.
The reimagined Share the Road Ride will return in late summer 2025. Stay tuned for updates, and join us in creating safer roads across Ontario.
This ride continues the legacy of OPP Sergeant Greg Stobbart, whose tragic death while cycling in 2006 led to the creation of the Share the Road Cycling Coalition. By participating, you honour Greg’s memory and support the Coalition’s ongoing mission to improve cycling safety across Ontario.
The Share the Road Ride supports initiatives that make a tangible difference, from helping to advance safer cycling infrastructure to delivering education campaigns and advocating for meaningful change. The Coalition has a track record of impact and results – legislative change (3 changes to the Highway Traffic Act) and successful advocacy resulting in a $125M investment by the Ontario government in 2017. Our programs and partnerships mobilize partners and have lead to progress in communities across Ontario.
Every kilometre ridden and every dollar raised funds programs that make Ontario’s roads safer for everyone.
